Zur Frage der Resorption von Polyphosphaten
1965
It was possible to separate poly nuclear compounds up to a seven-ring compd. by paper chromatography. The compounds consist of methylene-bridged p-cresol units. The RF values depend on the molecular weight in a regular manner. It seems to give general relations between the structure and the RF value.
Die Beziehung zwischen der Guanethidin-Konzentration im Rattenherzen und dem Noradrenalingehalt
1962
Guanethidine was intravenously injected into rats and was subsequently determined in the hearts by extracting the tissue with trichloroacetic acid, purifying the extracts on cation exchange columns and by paper chromatography, and coupling the guanethidine with ninhydrin in alkaline solution before fluorimetric estimation. The concentration in the heart reached a maximum of 9 μg/g within 15 min of injecting 15 mg/kg, and was still 6.2 and 5.7 μg/g after 1 and 3 hours, respectively. Guanethidine caused a decrease of the heart noradrenaline concentration, measured fluorimetrically, by 56% in 3 hours and by 93% in 14 hours. The adrenaline concentration was likewise decreased. A metabolite with…
Untersuchung von Adenosintriphosphorsäure (ATP), Adenosindiphosphorsäure (ADP), Adenosinmonophosphorsäure (AMP) und Inosinsäure (IMP) in ruhenden und…

A method for the estimation of muscle nucleotides is described. The separation of nucleotides has been accomplished by paper ionophoresis at high voltages, as well as by paper chromatography. Even little changes in the nucleotide content such as the changes in a single muscular contraction can be well observed by this method.
Die Konzentration von Noradrenalin und Adrenalin in den einzelnen Abschnitten des Herzens
1959
1. A method for the assay of noradrenaline and adrenaline in small pieces of heart tissue is described. The amines were extracted with acid ethanol and separated by paper chromatography. The regions containing the amines were eluted and the amount of amines in the eluates was determined by bioassay. Noradrenaline was assayed on the blood pressure of the pithed rat. Adrenaline was assayed on the isolated atropinized rat's uterus stimulated with oxytocin. 2. The identity of the substances tested by bioassay with noradrenaline and adrenaline was confirmed by a number of chemical and pharmacological tests. 3. The concentration of catechol amines in different parts of the heart was studied in ca…
Solvent Selection in Liquid Chromatography
2013
Abstract Many solvents can be used to prepare mobile phases in liquid chromatography. Also, mixtures of solvents at different ratios are used to modify the mobile phase properties. This can make solvent selection for method development a hard task, unless suitable guidelines are followed. This chapter summarizes the most common strategies used by skilled chromatographists in reversed-phase, normal-phase, and hydrophilic interaction liquid chromatography. These are based on considerations about the global polarity of solutes, stationary phase and mobile phase, which determine the elution strength, and on the particular profile of the contributions of intermolecular interactions to the global…
Complexes of organometallic compounds
1974
Abstract Several new complexes formed by PhTlCl 2 with tridentate ligands (with ONO and SNO donor atoms) and a tetradentate ligand (with ONNO donor atoms), have been prepared. The complexes show 1/1 organothallium(lll)/Ligand ( = L 2− ) stoichiometry. Their nature and configuration are investigated in the solid state by vibrational spectroscopy, and in solution by electronic spectroscopy. The existence of chelation by the dianionic ligands on Tl III is inferred, and suggestions are made concerning the Tl III coordination number and the stereochemistry of the complexes.
Complexes of organometallic compounds
1966
Abstract The compounds (C2H5)2PbCl2, (C2H5)3PbCl and PbCl2 were studied by paper electrophoresis in aqueous LiCl solutions of various molarities. Determination was made of the formation of chloride complexes in which the electric charge was a function of ligand concentration in the solution. From the results of these experiments, and from a comparative examination of anion exchange data obtained in previous researches, useful information is obtained for determining the ligand concentrations relative to the preponderance of cationic, neutral and anionic complexes in the aqueous solutions. From this information it is possible to assume (C2H5)2PbCl42− and (C2H5)3PbCl32− as the fully coordinate…
Über die Verbreitung von Flavonoiden bei akrokarpen Laubmoosen
1978
Summary The methanolic extract from the sporophytes of the moss Ceratodon purpureus (L.) Brid . (Ditrichaceae) contains one flavonoid. It was isolated and purified by means of paper chromatography and identified by cochromatography with authentic material and by UV-spectral data as luteolin. No glycosides of either luteolin or another flavonoid could be detected.
Periphyton pigment analyses using paper chromatography
1983
Paper chromatography was used to study the community structure, the proportion of degraded chlorophylls to the total pigment content, and the chlorophyll and carotenoid content of the epilithic periphyton algae from Lake Tahoe, California-Nevada. Analyses were made using both samples directly from the lake and cultured periphytic algae. The extraction was made with boiling 100% methanol; two dimensional chromatography was used to separate the pigments. The relative contribution of different pigment fractions to total light absorption by the complete periphyton extract was estimated by planimetric integration of absorption curves. From the pigment structure, estimates were made of the propor…
